ROUND FOUR:
INITIATIVE ORDER:Sand 24: ghost step, move and attack with shuriken Adora 19: full attack with shortbow Efreet 18: use fire spells Jukai 13: winds rope around his body Lestrand 5: full attack with shortbow In the blink of an eye, Sand reappears and vanishes once again. He moves closer to the efreet, making sure the genie is in range and throws a shuriken at it...Sand will save+7[dice=20] Total: 15The small metal star buries itself onto the efreet's broad chest, causing the boastful creature to once again roar in pain (-14hp). A heartbeat later two arrows, shot by Adora, comes flying toward the badly wounded monster...Adora will save+6[dice=20] Total: 24To the paladin's surprise, both arrows passed through the efreet as if the creature was made of air. The efreet now appears somewhat transparent to her.Wall of fire damages Adora and Lestrand:Adora ref save: 23 OKLestrand Reflex save+8[dice=20] Total: 23 OKWall of fire damage 2d4:[dice=4][dice=4] Total: 5 fire damageFor the fourth time Adora and Lestrand gets burned by the walls heat wave (-2hp).You all notice that the efreet has suddenly stopped moving. It's face frozen in a madman's laugh, even the flames covering its body has stoppped, When...Scorching Ray (+12) attacks Jukai's rope (AC10):[dice=20] Total: 15 HIT Damage 4d6 fire[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Total: 14... a red, fiery ray streaks towards the rope tying Jukai to the tree, burning it to cinders and the fighter to falls 30' onto the ground...Jukai: Falling damage 3d6[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Total: 13Jukai falls soundly on his rump, the forest's undergrowth doing nothing to lessen the impact of his fall (-13hp).The REAL efreet reappears (still flying) at the same spot (in front of party) from where it disappeared a while back, laughing maniacally "AND SO OUR LITTLE MONKEY FALLS TO THE GROUND, FLAT ON HIS ASS BWAAAHAHAHA!!! NOW I THINK A LITTLE FIREWORKS IN IN ORDER..." The efreet closes it's eyes as the flames on it's body begins to dance wildly until, an intense white hot flash engulfs the entire area...Will save all:Adora+6 [dice=20] Total: 12 FAILJukai+1[dice=20] Total: 9 FAILLestrand +4[dice=20] Total: 21 OKSand+7[dice=20] Total: 14 OKBlindness duration 1d4 rounds[dice=4] Total: 4Lestrand and Sand were able to shut their eyes on time. But Adora and Jukai were not so fortunate and now sees nothing but white, the flash having blinded them completely. (for 4 rounds that is...)As Jukai picks himself up and rubbed his blinded eyes, Lestrand now aware of the efreet's trick sent two arrows flying at the real monster... causing the efreet to howl in pain as both arrows nick his left shoulder (-8hp)END OF ROUND FOUR:Sorry, but no maps for today. The efreet is once again at the same spot where you first saw him, having never left there in the first palace...  Adora 39/58hp (blind until round 7) Jukai 40/74 hp (blind until round 7) Lestrand 46/56hp Efreet -40hp (badly wounded) spells in play: bless(party), protect from evil(Lestrand) DM to Party: Your actions for round five please... jukai actions for fifth round: Jukai shouts aloud: AAhhggg!!!! My eyes!!!!.................... Upon hearing Goku's comment, jukai eventhough blinded, blindly search for the tree thats near him & stood back to back to it for cover. Jukai move around the back of the tree for cover again. Jukai now begins to feel that he can not help himself & the others. Jukai to Goku: Who are you calling a monkey?!? Your a no good laughing sleaze bag...you BURNED MY ROPE!!! Do you understand me...YOU BURNED MY ROPE!!!  |

Lestrand moves beside Adora so she can be shielded somewhat from any direct attack as well prevent disorientation.

Move Action: Move within sudden strike distance and draw another shuriken.
Standard Action: Attack the efreet that burned the rope.

1. DM is barrend stonecutter still in the game? If we defeat the efreet how would the xp divided? No offence the mr. stonecutter but I wish we have an official statement that he won't continue with his character so that other new members can have a chance to join the party. Somewhat like an official resignation letter for the group. I mean, We could still see mr. stonecutter posting but why can't he continue his adventure here...
2. Sir, I forgot to tell you that you should roll for a 50/50 chance to hit jukai and his rope with your scorching ray since he is inside the concelment of the leaves & is located at the center. The blinding light won't be also effective sinve the leaves would provide protection & will disperse the blinding light.

DM to Shadowhart: To answer your questions... 1. Yes, Athos is coming back after the encounter with the efreet. 2. Leaves don't provide concealment, they give soft cover... which I already factored into your ropes AC when the efreet shot it. Cover, but not soft cover, gives a bonus to reflex saves not will saves (if you remember, the save vs the flash was a will save) and you were already on the ground when the flash blinded you. Hope this clears things up, now back to the game...

ROUND FIVE:
INITIATIVE ORDER:

Lestrand 5: full attack with shortbow
Sticking with what works, Sand ghost-steps and moves towards the "real" efreet, and throws the shuriken in his hand. The weapon buries itself on the monster's neck (-17hp) and the efreet is visibly weakend by the ninja's last assault. Although blind, Adora uses the efreets shout of pain to guide her shots. But both arrows fail to find their mark, missing the efreet by a more than foot.
The efreet, badly weakened by his numerous wounds, dismisses the wall of fire trapping Adora and Lestrand with a wave of his hand. His other hand clutching the wounded on his neck, the efreet lands infront of the party and...
"YOU HAVE DEFEATED ME SOUNDLY MY VALIANT CONQUERORS. I NOW HUMBLE MY SELF AND BEG THAT YOU, GREATEST OF HEROES, SPARE ME MY LIFE..."

Efreet -57hp (near dead)
The efreet bows down to the four of you as he begs for your life... What do you do?
