Sand 14: charge attack creature
Creature 6: emerge from frozen pool

Shouting a warning to Jukai and with his katana in one hand, Sand charges at the creature, hoping to land the first blow before it can fully emerge from the frozen pool.

Balance check: Sand+15

With exceptional balance, Sand manages to keep his footing while charging over the slippery ice of the frozen pool and slashes his weapon at the head of the half submerged monster. But the creature was able to duck in time, the ninja's blade missing it's head by an inch.

After the missed attack the creature emerges fully from the freezing waters... giving Sand a chance to takes advantage of the opening in the monster's defenses.

This time the enchanted katana finds its mark, striking the creature's shoulder but failing to penetrate the monster's thick ice like hide.



The gigantic creature standing before Sand has a body made entirely from dark-blue ice and is cloaked an aura of pure numbing cold. With it's claws clicking excitedly it stares hungrily at the ninja with murderous intent, the icy surface of the pool barely able to hold the creatures weight...

Athos action: Athos look for some branches and twigs that can be set on fire even on this icy state. Then he take out the flask of oils from his backpack to set the woods on fire faster. Then Athos will use it to distract the monster by setting all some of his arrows on fire and shoot it to the monster.

Sorry but all the nearby branches and twigs in the area are wet due to the frost covering them, even with oil it would take you a long time to set them on fire. Do you still want to do this or do you just want Athos to attack this round?

To Aizhel:
It's the same day, ergo Adora has nomore spells left and was not able to cast her bless spell...

Athos, at the back middle & shoot the creature with your bow once the creature is at the middle cast a ranger hold spell like entangle foot & continue your range attack.............. Adora, at the left front & use your bow but when the creature is in our flanking position drop your bow & meleee .........I'll be at the right front soon as i lure this creature at the middle. jukai followed sands to safe ground. He then shouted at the creature again to attract its attention so that his party will take opportunity of the situation & soften the stone hard creature before it approaches the party.

INITIATIVE ORDER:

Adora 21: charge attack ice monster
Lestrand 19: total defense
Athos 15: Manyshot with shortbow
Sand 14: attack while fighting defensively then tumble away
Jukai 8: stand up and move back to solid gound
Ice monster 6: use breath weapon

Adora charges at the ice monster, exhibiting fancy footwork as she blazes across the frozen pool. But as soon as the paladin got within 10 feet of the monster, it slashes her with it's claws...

Adora deflects the monster's blow with her buckler and counters with an attack of her own. The paladin's axe crashes into the monster's flank but aside from the electric shock, the weapon only cracked it's icy skin (-8hp).

Athos moves through the snowy terrain, finding a spot where his companions give the monster no cover and shoots two arrows with one shot. But as impossible as it appears, the intense cold emanating from the monster's body seems to deflect both of the elf's arrows.

Using a more defensive fighting stance, Sand slashes the ice monster with his katana but the blow was not strong enough to penetrate the creature's tough hide. The ninja then tumbles back to a more stable ground and almost slips on the ice, fortunately the ice monster was not reflexive enough to take opportunity of the ninja's mistake.

The still drunk Jukai stands from prone and moves out of the frozen pool while drawing both his maces at the same time. He barks commands at his partymates and tries his best to taunt the monster. But the creature shows no sign of understanding any of the insults hurled at it.

The ice monster moves back a step and begins charging, a bluish energy growing from within it's ice-ike body. Then with it's mouth wide open it releases the said energy in the form of a powerful cone shaped blast of pure murderous cold...

Adora, Jukai, Lestrand and Sand ref save vs ice breath (DC19):

The blast of cold was so powerful that you feel it cut into your bones. Jukai and Lestrand was able to protect themselves in time, sparing them from most of the freezing damage (-10hp). But Adora and Sand were not so quick and took the full brunt of the attack (-20hp).

After expelling it's freezing breath, the monster begins staring at the shivering paladin, pure murder in it's eyes...
