Samurai Class ( Oriental Adventures)Abilities: STR is especially important for samurai because it improves their melee attack and damage rolls CON is important for giving samurai lots of hit points, which they'll need in their many battles. DEX for samurai who want to be skilled archers, improves AC and DEX related skills. As a samurai acquires treasure through adventuring, he has the option of awakening the supernatural abilities latent in the weapons. Additionally, the samurai code of bushido requires that he be obedient to his Lord, accept death at any time and face it bravely, avenge any dishonor, and shun any appearance of cowardice. The core principles of bushido are honor, loyalty, and courage. Iaijutsu Focus Skill: If you attack a flat-footed opponent immediately after drawing a melee weapon. you can deal extra damage based on the resultof an Iaijutsu Focus check. In addition, you and your opponent both agree to participate in a form of Iaijutsu duel, your Iaijutsu focus check replaces your initiative checks for ensuing combat.
