Geist's brief history:
By his race alone, we can tell that somewhere along the line in Geist's family tree there was some thing amiss. His grandfather (a minor noble and a dabbler in the arcane arts) made a pact with an infernal being, so that he can pay his debts ( the grandfather was a chronic gambler) and be free of his woes. The infernal being (an erinyes) dutifully obliged and solved the noble's worries by killing the lenders one by one. Usually in this kind of arrangement, involves the bartering of souls. So the erinyes came back to get the noble's soul, but Geist's grandfather was not willing to surrender his soul just yet, so he devised a plan to keep his soul a while longer. He convinced the fiend to play a game of cards (w/c he miraculously won)and wagered something else in exchange for his soul. He eventually wagered the soul of the first born son from his seed. (but in his mind, that's a scenario that would never happen because he new that his loins were barren). Unfortunately the she devil was reading his thoughts and made a cunning move of her own. The erinyes did the unthinkable, she charmed the wily gambler and coupled with him. Thinking the she had outwitted her victim , the fiend gingerly returned to hell and waited to give birth to her "payment", but alas faith steppped in.The erinyes gave birth to a bouncing baby half-fiend...daughther. Disgusted the erinyes had no choice, and banished her offspring to the material plane (being lawful and all). The half-fiend girl grew up to be adventurer, and retired to make a family of her own. Which was not easy , due to acceptance issues mortals have to creatures of the fiendish variety. To make the story short, Geist's early life was filled with misery and rejection due to his extraordinary ancestry, but that does not stop him from finding his niche in the world. His parents was long gone, and a life of a rogue suited him best to survive the streets. But unknown to him infernal forces are getting interested in something he has... his immortal soul. Grandmother is going to fetch him soon.

Thrall now wonders from place to place, using the skills his human uncle taught him to avoid capture and execution. He hopes to one day be strong and experienced enough to return home and settle, in a most bloody way, his business with the "priest."
